Policies and Guidelines

Because creativity thrives in a safe, joyful, and caring space.

Registration, Payment and Refunds

  • Payment in full or deposit is required at time of registration to secure a spot.
  • The registration fee is non-refundable, as we often pre-order art supplies.
  • No refunds or credits are issued for missed classes. Make-ups are offered only if we cancel the class.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any class due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances. In that case, you’ll be offered a make-up, credit, or refund.
  • Requests for withdrawal or refund must be submitted in writing at least [X days] before the start or first session (you decide the X).

Attendance and Punctuality

  • Arrive promptly — we start on schedule. Late arrivals may miss important parts of class.
  • We are not responsible for students before class start or after class end. Late pick-ups may incur a fee (e.g. $10 for each 10 minutes).
  • If your child cannot attend, please notify us in advance; however, full tuition remains due.
  • Instructors may dismiss students whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful. No refunds in such cases.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up / Supervision

  • Drop-off classes are limited to registered students only. Siblings or unregistered children cannot accompany students into class space.
  • Parents or guardians must sign children in and out at the studio. Anyone not on the authorized pick-up list must show ID.
  • For classes requiring parent presence (e.g. family classes), one caregiver per child is allowed in the studio space.

Health, Illness and Safety

  • Please do not attend if sick: fever, vomiting, contagious illness, or any symptoms affecting others.
  • We may ask you to pick your child up early if they become ill during class.
  • We follow guidelines for cleaning high-touch surfaces and materials; hand sanitizers are available.
  • We expect students to work safely, follow instructions, and respect posted safety rules for tools and materials.
  • No food or drink (except water) is permitted in the art studio to protect materials and prevent accidents.

Materials, Clean-Up and Studio Etiquette

  • We supply all core materials (paints, paper, clay, etc.). Students may be asked to bring minor items (e.g. smock, sketchbook).
  • All students help tidy their workspace and return materials at the end of class.
  • No art materials should leave the studio unless in a finished project package (unless authorized).
  • Respect others’ artwork — do not touch someone else’s work without permission.
  • No use of art materials in unintended ways (e.g. paint on walls) or misuse of equipment.
  • Photography of other students’ artwork or faces requires permission.

Restroom and Personal Needs

  • All drop-off students must be fully toilet trained and able to use restrooms independently. Instructors are unable to assist. (If a child needs personal care help, a caregiver must remain on site.)
  • If an accident occurs, caregivers may be contacted to assist with changes of clothes.

Photography and Media Use

  • We may take photos, video, or audio during classes, workshops, or events for promotional, website, or social media use.
  • By enrolling, you grant us the right to use the media (students’ images and artwork) without compensation. If you prefer your child not be included, please notify us in writing in advance.

Liability and Safety Disclaimer

  • Participation in art involves inherent risks (use of scissors, glue, tools, etc.). You assume responsibility for any injury or damage associated with participation.
  • We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought into the studio.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend, or remove any student whose behavior compromises safety or the experience of others.

If you have questions or concerns about these policies, please reach out to us. We strive to keep creativity safe, joyful, and inclusive for all.
